The Canadian Quit&Win 2009 Challenge, a yearly smoking cessation competition, has chosen NicCheck I once again to be the test they used to confirm smoking cessation.
Thursday May 15, 2009 Mossman Associates, Inc., announced today that the Canadian Quit & Win 2009 Smoking Cessation Challenge, a yearly smoking cessation competition, has chosen NicCheck I once again to be the test they used to confirm smoking cessation among the potential contest winners.
All contestants had smoked daily for at least one year and are 18 years of age or older. The contestants are required to abstain from smoking for at least four weeks, which is verified with a urine test among the potential winners. The test chosen once again is NicCheck I.
Donald Mossman, President of Mossman Associates is quoted as saying, "We are again pleased to be chosen to be involved with this important project. We have seen how our test can be used in the field, such as our involvement in the rural countryside of the Philippines, as well as by lab clinicians such as with the Canadian Quit and Win Challenge. We are now becoming more involved with doctors and how the test can be used to better determine the amount of Nicotine Replacement Therapy that is required by their patients. We feel strongly that the addition of NicCheck I as a tool, to both doctors and those trying to “kick the habit”, will improve results that are seen from anyone’s smoking cessation efforts".
